Dear CWA Local 1102 Member, Can you imagine going to work one day and learning that your boss was changing your pay structure from an hourly wage to a piece work wage? How does .83 cents per call sound to you? How would you feel if your boss announced this new piece work scheme the very day you won a hard-fought union election? If you work at Affiliated Computer Services, providing customer support for EZ Pass users in New York State, being paid per call may soon become a reality. To make matters worse, ACS works directly with the NYS Thruway Authority and other State agencies to run the EZ Pass system in New York. ACS is funded by our taxes! Can you spare just 5 seconds to help put a stop to piece work before it starts? Send an email message to the NYS Thruway Authority now and demand that they tell their contractor to say no to piece work at EZ Pass! Our taxes should not be used to pay poverty wages and piece work! http://www.unionvoice.org/campaign/lowpayhighway ACS workers typically make just $13 dollars per hour, but with the piece work scheme being implemented (they call it "Activity Based Compensation"), their pay could drop to minimum wage. The union believes that this is being done now to punish them for joining our union. That is outrageous and un-American. You can help put a quick stop to this piece work scheme by emailing the NYS Thruway Authority and asking that they demand that their EZ Pass vendor not pay workers per call. Tax dollars should not be spent on paying workers poverty wages, especially as a punishment for joining a union! Do you have 5 seconds to help put an end to piece work in NYS? http://www.unionvoice.org/campaign/lowpayhighway Email the NYS Thruway Authority now and join your CWA brothers and sisters in demanding that they direct their contractor to stop the plan to pay piece work at EZ Pass!
